Founded in 1479, the University of Copenhagen (UCPH) is Denmark’s largest and oldest university, recognized for its excellence in research and education across six faculties, which are further divided into departments and institutes acting as the primary workplace for the University’s researchers. It offers over 200 study programs for study in health and medical sciences, humanities, law, science, social sciences, and theology, and produces more than 14,000 research publications annually. UCPH is a key player in international academic networks, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. The University of Copenhagen is also a member of several international alliances, of which the three most important are IARU, LERU, and 4EU+.
In the ISABEL project, UCPH serves as the scientific coordinator, ensuring research quality and methodological rigor. It leads efforts in quality control, risk and research management, and contingency planning while contributing to key research outputs, including the conceptual framework on JCD, ISABEL composite index, societal, ethical & legal guidelines, and policy recommendations on fast-changing labour markets.
