ISABEL at the 9th Cedefop CareersNet Annual Meeting

May 18, 2026

The ISABEL project was presented during the 9th Cedefop CareersNet Annual Meeting, bringing the project into discussion with national experts and stakeholders involved in career guidance and lifelong learning systems across Europe. The meeting provided an important opportunity to exchange perspectives on how career guidance services can better respond to the rapidly changing demands of the labour market in the context of the green and digital transitions.

The presentation focused on the role of labour market intelligence and career information tools in supporting evidence-based guidance practices. Particular emphasis was placed on the increasing need for guidance systems capable of helping individuals navigate changing occupational structures, emerging skill demands, and the growing uncertainty created by technological transformation and sustainability-related transitions. ISABEL presented its broader approach to analysing labour market transformations and developing tools that can support more adaptive, inclusive, and future-oriented career guidance policies.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of strengthening the connection between skills intelligence, career counselling, and labour market forecasting mechanisms. In this context, the ISABEL project contributes to ongoing European discussions regarding how guidance systems can support reskilling, career transitions, and workforce adaptability within increasingly dynamic employment environments.
