SkillResilience4EU

Objectives

SkillResilience4EU addresses the challenges posed by the digital and ecological transformation of European labour markets, which affect sectors, regions, and social groups unevenly, potentially jeopardising social cohesion. The project aims to enhance the resilience of these labour markets in the face of multiple and compounding crises, societal challenges, and uncertainties arising from the twin transition. By analysing the combined impact of digital, ecological, and other macroeconomic drivers, SkillResilience4EU seeks to identify strategies that support socially and geographically fair re-skilling and upskilling of the workforce. The project will develop two main tools: a management tool for policymakers to guide labour market adaptation and transformation, and a skills self-assessment tool for individuals and firms to anticipate future skill needs. Together, these outputs will help prepare European industries and regions for imminent turbulence, strengthen workforce resilience, and ensure a future-proof, inclusive, and adaptable labour market across Europe.
