ISABEL at the Cedefop Conference

August 12, 2026

The ISABEL Horizon Europe Project was represented by PROGRESSUS Research & Counselling at the Cedefop conference “The Skills Nexus between Productivity and Job Quality: Strengthening Foundations for a Competitive Europe”, held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 29–30 June 2026.

The conference brought together researchers, policymakers, employers, trade unions and practitioners to discuss the links between skills development, productivity and job quality, and their role in strengthening Europe’s competitiveness.

ISABEL contributed to the discussions by sharing its work on how the green and digital transitions are reshaping labour markets across European regions. The project’s approach combines AI-powered labour market intelligence and advanced data analytics to generate evidence that can inform policies for upskilling, reskilling and a just labour market transition.

Discussions during the conference also highlighted the importance of investing in people’s skills, lifelong learning and high-quality jobs alongside technological development to address the changing needs of European labour markets.
